Drenched in sorrow

Kneeling

Slumping

No longer able to stand

Now crumpled

Face down

Only half alive

Hands wringing

Shallow breaths

Conserving near spent energy

A grin creeping

Fading

And returning again

Eyes rolling down

Out of body

Witnessing

Hands wringing

Tainted toxic limbs

Twisted fingers

Stained hands

Unbearable guilty conscience

Drenched in sweat

Drenched in blood

Returning to reality

Slow

Easy

No rush

Not willing

Not yet ready

To face

The magnitude of the crine I have committed…
